Your Hot in the HotSpot for the Month—A True Winner! 
Autumn 2026 is officially here, and what a magnificent way to start the season! I don’t know if I am just a romantic or naive—perhaps I’m a bit of both—but it deeply warms my heart when I see unselfish people dedicating themselves to this kind of profound work. It truly makes me believe that there is still hope.
I am, of course, referring to this month’s special SuperHot in the HotSpots: Eda – Charity Concert (take a look below for the full info!).
All in all, November is once again so completely filled with high-class musical entertainment—featuring both legendary masters and brilliant young talents—that seven days a week simply won’t cut it. We officially need more days in the week! 🎷🎹✨

HERE!😀HAMU Jazz Thursdays @ Divadlo Inspirace
Things are really heating up inside the beautiful, historic vaulted basement of Liechtenstein Palace! It remains the perfect compact, intimate studio theater space for the exceptionally talented students and faculty of HAMU to showcase a brilliant mix of smooth, expressive, and boundary-pushing jazz. And for November, we even get an extra “Thursday” session that actually takes place on a Wednesday! 😀
Be sure to bookmark your calendar for these weekly sessions. The music kicks off at 19:30, and while there is absolutely no cover charge, the doors will close the second the room hits capacity—so make sure you show up on time!

🎸 Libor Šmoldas Residency @ U Staré paní
One of Europe’s leading jazz guitarists, Libor Šmoldas, is back anchoring a packed schedule at the Old Lady. With so many incredible projects happening this month, listing them all under one roof makes it easy to map out your month. Take your pick—there is bound to be something here to satisfy your musical hunger!
Notable are the three late-night jam sessions, which remain some of the most popular, relaxed, and fun events in the city, featuring excellent nonstop music between 20:00 and 23:00. Pay close attention to the “In Duo” night on the 9th as well—pairing Libor with the phenomenal David Dorůžka is going to be an unforgettable guitar showcase. Here is your ultimate November checklist:

They are back! The series returns in beautiful new premises at the Goethe-Institut, but with the exact same high-class programming you’ve come to expect. The theme this time, „Creative Voice – Discover Your Unique Sound,“ holds a wide range of interest for our up-and-coming rising stars and seasoned music lovers alike. Featuring a packed evening of mentorship, showcases, and improvisation, here is the full schedule:

An energetic and legitimate blend of Chicago and West Coast blues, delivered the true Czech way! If you are looking for pure, unadulterated blues energy on a Wednesday night, this is always worth it! 🎶✨

🎸 Jamie Marshall’s Amplified Acoustic Band
All right! Let’s rock—or was it blues, jazz? Call it whatever you want, but it is deeply engaging, captivating, and utterly rousing. This group doesn’t perform around the circuit quite as often anymore, so I highly suggest you secure your ticket in plenty of time.
I, of course, bought mine before publishing this—call it an author’s small right! 😀 And don’t worry about any weekend conflicts: just postpone the marriage. She’ll understand… 💍🚫🕺

🏡 Ateliér 57 in November
The best Jazz Club in Prague, the one in Beroun 😉 is proudly taking part in honoring the legendary John Coltrane, as 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of his birth. The iconic jazz saxophonist and composer was born on September 23, 1926, making this year his true centennial celebration.
To honor this giant of jazz history, expect an evening of supreme, high-intensity spiritual exploration led by one of the finest colossuses of the horn working today:

🎸 Roman Pokorný Trio: Album Release “Birdology”
Guitarist Roman Pokorný’s brand-new album, Birdology, is set to be officially released at Jazz Dock on the 28th of November. As you can easily guess from the title, this is Roman’s deep musical tribute to one of the truly legendary giants in the entire history of jazz: saxophonist Charlie Parker.
To ensure this celebration does justice to Bird’s legacy, the evening’s trio features some of the absolute finest musical craftsmanship to be offered in the Republic: Roman Pokorný (guitar), Stanislav Mácha (piano), and Tomáš Baroš (bass). Expect a night of sharp, high-velocity bebop swing! 💿🔥
