The best in Prague!

First time in Prague? The what to see list is full, right? And still, most of the time there is missing something very important. Yes, of course you covered The Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town, The Clock and so on. If you are here for the first time the list feels sometimes endless and yet there is something missing. What? Ask your daughter, the summer is hot, been walking for hours, getting a little tense, so what’s missing? The ice cream of course! And not any ice cream, but the best in Prague. You can’t really go home without trying this, ask your daughter again! Let’s make one thing clear, I’m NOT getting paid to write this, Ice Cream Salon Národní just has the best ice cream in our beautiful city. And it’s located in the middle of Prague, just between all the tourist attractions. It’s the perfect break when you need to gather some strength and a very tasty one! If one is to say something negative about this, it’s that this is a public secret already, not just the locals but also the tourists that have been here before now this place, so be prepared to stand in the queue for some time.

It’s of course Not an Ice Cream!

Okay, I’m simplifying everything, sorry about that. You may have understood that already since we are not talking about an ice cream stand, shop or something similar. It’s an ice cream Salon! And in a salon you don’t serve ice cream, you serve Gelato…of course. And of course the building where you have your salon it’s not any building, but a building built in splendid Art Nouveau style executed by an architect J. Vajshajtl in 1913. All right, this is Prague so a building from the 20^thcentury is recognised as a new production. The salon has 58 different gelatos to choose from, and as it is in the spirit of the times, of course you can find the vegan versions here as well. And something very interesting, they have something they call Healthy ice creams! I don’t know, but I’m hoping that maybe the healthy ice cream will not find its way around the waist like all the other ice creams, but that’s probably hoping a little too much, salon or no salon! The bottom line is, go here if you’re into ice cream, and even if you’re not. Because this is really a nice treat to yourself, and you can always do with a break, ask your daughter. 🙂
