They did it again!
For those of you who follow yhalinen.com, you are aware that not very long ago I was at a concert with a group called Bohemia After Dark. And if, then you are also aware that I was quite impressed with what I heard and saw. If you need to refresh your memory go back and look at the pictures and the review HERE. Last night I took off to U Malého Glena to see these guys again, and also to see if the last concert was a coincidence or not. And believe me, it was not! With a slightly smaller line-up, Ben Hague (drums), Andy Schofield (alto saxophone), Martin Jůzl (trumpet), Libor Šmoldas (guitar) and Honza Kořínek (double bass) we were offered the same intensity, sensitivity and the joy of playing that you can expect from this absolutely brilliant musicians. Just as an example, the name off the band, that has its roots in the legendary Café Bohemia, is in many ways quite daring and challenging to use considering the history of the restaurant, but no, with the arrangements and the individual solos we were given yesterday, it only makes it to a big tribute to that era and its music and musicians. What a night, again! I’m not gonna repeat myself anymore from the last time, because everything that I said last time still applies, look at the pictures then you might get a small understanding of what we, the sold out U Malého Glena experienced last night. And guess what, next time? I’ll be there again! 😉
