Five Rivers Blues Band @ Jazz Dock 10.2.2025
It was back to the basics last night at Jazz dock, back to the old 1,4,5. Mind you, the Five Rivers Blues Band (Ivan Audes – dr; Luboš Muchna – vocals, harm; Miloš Novotný – b, voc; Jan Šobr – g.) was everything but blue. A show full of humour, energy and individual skills gave the relatively full Jazz Dock audience all that they had come for, that was clearly to be heard by the ovation the band got. This guy’s been around before, the band’s birth is back in 2011, formed around drummer Ivan Audes. They are still here because they know what they are doing, they deliver what’s expected and the audience have fun at their gigs, that was made clear yesterday. 
The well balanced set list contained a good mixture of old covers and the band’s own songs. A small setback for the sound though, quite often the guitar (very good) unfortunately covered both the singing and the harmonica performance, which at least I would have liked to have heard a little clearer, a little strange considering the long history of the group. But maybe next time then, because it for sure will be a next time. This is a band that will make you go home with a big smile 😃 on your face, and that can never be wrong!
