Blood, Sweat and Tears, part 3.

Libor Šmoldas Quartet, "SORRY, MILES!"

You get to part 2 of this mini series from HERE!

Everything is in its place, time to start working! 😂 First runner up is a fairly new project Libor has going on, Libor Šmoldas Quartet, today the line up is; Jesse Simpson dr; Tomáš Baroš b; Mikuláš Pokorný p; Libor Šmoldas g. I say today because, like most of the jazz bands in the republic, it has a tendency to alter every once in a while. This is mainly for the obvious reason that the member of the band is booked for another gig somewhere else, which and why I already explained in part two. This would in many places be a major setback, but not in this country, where the quality and skill of the jazz musician family is on a very high level. This I already mentioned before, and I will repeat myself in the future until I’m sure that you believe me 😀

Sorry Miles

This quartet has a very interesting project going on under the name “Sorry Miles”. A concert series where they perform compositions, some very famous, that are supposed to have the legends handwriting but… During this musical presentation you will be revealed with their true stories as well as their original authors. But don’t be mistaken, here’s nobody trying to smear anybody. We who heard and seen Libor before are fully aware that this is a tribute to maybe the greatest legend in the history of jazz, Miles Davis.
And that’s why we are in the studio, to make a couple of promo videos for this very interesting quartet, because sadly but true. No matter how good you are, with the lack of records etc. how will anybody have the knowledge of you? This is the worst place to start saving money, unfortunately also a more than common mistake, and not only in the music world. If you need a more detailed explanation on what I mean, go to part 2. In the meantime, will we wait for the videos to have their final touch, I suggest that if you have the chance to go and listen to this musical ensemble, do it, you won’t regret it. To be continued…😀
