Three of Seven record release
At the very beginning of August 2024, Atelier 57, the best jazz club in Prague, the one in Beroun, held a concert with a very interesting set up, Libor Šmoldas – g; Samual “Sam” Zerna – b; Jesse Simpson – dr; three superb musicians that is both skilled with their instruments and talented composers. The point is that from that concert there’s now a live recording to be found at Bandcamp, seven tunes where six of them are made by the individuals of the trio and one is an Irish tradition arranged by Libor. This album is really worth purchasing for several reasons. For those who want to try it’s a step out of the traditional jazz standards without being too modern, the price won’t ruin your economy and it’s made on Bandcamp where most of the money spent goes to the right address, to the musicians, but most of all because it’s good! It’s relaxing, skillful, a record made in harmony with three musicians that love their work and have the greatest respect for each other.
