. I concentrate mostly on the local bands/artists, that of course doesn’t always mean that they are Czech, but local and good, yes! 
I have only put in concerts/gigs where tickets are still available when writing this. Keep the address for this site in a good place, for the next month you’ll have new information as we get there. If you want to have a small knowledge about the clubs in question you can get it HERE… Petra Vlková Trio; In a little different and intimate place just outside the center of Prague (Zelená 1084/15, Praha 6) offers surprisingly high class music. This would be a very good start for your October music journey!

Odd Steinar Albrigtsen Quartet; A guitarist, composer, teacher etc. Go first to social media and listen to this gentleman and after that I’ll see you at Prague’s best jazz club, the one in Beroun. Because that’s where Odd and his Quartet will perform… 😀

Libor Šmoldas & Milan Angelo Novák guitar duo; Young meets old (sorry Libor 😀). This is a fest for lovers of guitar music, something that belongs to the O2 arena so good is this, so let’s enjoy it in a real jazz club environment. Two virtuosos that feed each other to some absolutely remarkable sounds.

Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory; Something very special and FREE, no admission. I don’t know anything about this but for sure something out of the ordinary! The ad for the happenings say’s; The Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory (part of the charitable organization called the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and Higher Vocational School in Prague) is an art school focusing mainly on popular, jazz, and musical music. !!!Pay attention to the starting time!!!

Prague Impro Room Vol. 4; American bassist Ben Tiberius and Czech rapper Kater. In a unique environment, in the home of Kristina and Marek you have now a chance to experience something different music wise and this in the middle of Prague. Julian Shore Trio; A praised pianist and his trio on a visit to Prague’s best jazz club, the one in Beroun, Ateliér 57. My only touch with these guys is true Bandcamp and if the sky doesn’t fall on my head I’ll be here! 😀

Bohemia After Dark;This is probably THE Bebop band in the republic. If you haven’t heard this group before it’s about time, if you have heard them before you know what you are in for. In both cases see you in Jazz Dock on the 17th, because they’re worth it!

Petra Vlkova & Sonic Playground; If this was a sports event this band would be named HOT! They are on the rise, especially since the release of their excellent debut album. A musical month with Petra and the Playground is always a good month! 😀
