Night of Female Singers @ Jazz Dock 11.4.2025
It was ladies night at Jazz Dock last night and what a night it was! 
With the title, Night of Female Singers 2025, a sold out Jazz Dock saw everything from upcoming stars to already established female singers. And it was just as good, emotional, brilliant, fun, entertaining that one could hope and expect. This is now the third year we have seen this happening in today’s format, an event that has its roots back in 1981 where Jana Koubková was the soul and source behind the whole event. Jana who is today the patron for the female singers, made a short stop to Jazz Dock last night and again, with her absolutely charismatic positive energy almost stole the whole show before it even started! We love you Jana!

We love you Jana! Janas heir today has fallen on Petra Ernyei, a choice that couldn’t have been better. The amount of work that a happening like this takes, the organisation, koordinations with the artist, the club, getting the timetable to match etc. it’s not done over a weekend meeting. Jana must be so proud of Petra knowing that The Night of Female Singers is in safe hands now and the future looks bright. We were already promised a follow up for next year at Jazz Dock, “same place, same time”. 
The musical offering last night was incredible, so much talent on one stage for one night it was almost unbelievable. I personally had my favourites, just like everybody else, and I tought for a long time should I mention them or not, but came to the conclusion that no, because in spite of all the excellent individual performances this was also a night of togetherness, little like Alexandre Dumas, so one for all, all for one! But what I will mention is, as a representative of the wrong gender seen from last night’s perspective, with all the female energy that was present last night, the backbone for the whole event was a band that itself would have worth coming and listening to, Ondřej Kabrna – p; Adam Tvrdý – g; Petr Dvorský – b; Martin Kopřiva dr. What a combination, some very high class music was performed from the male part of this festival, wow! But I’ll stick to my chosen path, so one for all, all for one and see you guys next year!
