Petra Vlková and Sonic Playground @ U Staré paní 18.4.2025
Slowly but surely Petra Vlková and Sonic Playground, Petra Vlková – voc; Libor Šmoldas – g; Mikuláš Pokorný – p., are getting the appreciation that they deserve. Last night an almost sold out U Staré paní (Old Lady) was a clear sign of that if anything. Inspired by the large audience, they once again gave us a concert that, after three sets and three hour, sent everybody home with a big smile and a cheerful heart. There is of course the possibility that I’m wrong, maybe the audience didn’t have that much influence on the performance, maybe it’s just because they are really good, and here I’m not wrong! 
Versatility
I’m almost running out of superlatives when writing about this band, but only almost. One of many reasons this trio stands out is their ability to versatile their act, you will not experience two identical gigs, stage performance or set list. Seeing two gigs on the row is seeing two totally different shows. This is a strength if any, many times unfortunately belittled by many. A good example is Playground and their soon to be released CD. Being this close to zero hour for the release of their first ever CD one should think that the backbone for the night’s set lists would be the songs from the record, but no. Last night there were two (three?) 
songs from the record to come, so versatility! This is of course only one reason why you and I will go to see them next time. The main reason obviously being because they’re very good! Remember to make a seat reservation
