Breakfast Blues Slovakian way! 🙂
Today’s breakfast blues are eaten, and I think the kitchen will have no complaints today! What a menu, Rene Lacko & Downtown probably knows every guitar trick in the book, but so what if you know what you’re  doing! Standing ovation and for a reason. Way to go…
Afternoon/Evening
So now we have the real last update for the Suwalki Blues 2024. Once again a nice festival with a lot of absolutely superb music. And even if the weather tried its best to put spanners in the works, it failed! 🙂 We will at some point put out a large photo reportage on the whole event, follow us on Facebook (yhalinen.com) or instagram (yhalinen.com) and you’ll be the first to know when. But until then here are some picks from Saturday. Quite a few small positive surprises were on the menu, all from known to unknown artists. I’ll have to mention a couple, like it or not 🙂 Walking the blues street on Saturday afternoon and stopping to listen to Digman & Vilep, wow! I’ll beat Killer himself, who for sure listened somewhere, also enjoyed the show! 🙂 On stage two, very much at the end of the whole event, both bands for me, a new live acquaintance, Ian Parker Band & Bernard Allison with his band, got to be the icing on the cake for Suwalki Blues 2024. It’s so easy when you know what you are doing, what skills, what feeling! And both bands finished off with a tribute to Hendrix played in a way that both brought tears to many of the audience. It’s so easy to take a popular tune/classic and try to woo the audience with it, but not these two bands. This is the way you honor an artist you respect, and get the respect yourself. I really hope I’ll see you guys later, the sooner the better. Thanks… 🙂
