Petra Ernyei Trio @ Jazz On The Roof 6.9.2025
Like I already mentioned in the Hotspots for September, there is still summer left, and yesterday afternoon I was proven right, and it had nothing to do with the weather! 
With a performance so full of positive energy, love, musical skills, Petra Ernyei Trio, Petra Ernyeiová – voc; Adam Tvrdý – g; Petr Dvorský – b. could bring the sun even to the dark side of the moon if needed. We who had come together to Jazz Dock for a relaxing afternoon with Jazz On The Roof, got what we came for, and more. A three set concert with a base of jazz standards but also with some traditional and one original ( I’ll get back to that particular song some other time) and all performed with a positivity that today is the trademark for Petras performances, and ad to that the skillful fulfillment of Adam and Petrs way to handle their instruments, On the Roof was the right place to be yesterday.

This trio has been entertaining us now for quite a few years and of course you see and most of all hear it in their music. The self-confidence, the joy, the musical knowhow when there is no need to think about what your colleagues will do next is something that takes time, patience, skills to build up, but once you get there it’s heard and felt in every note that you put out. Petra Ernyei Trio have today reached that point, and the winner is WE, the audience. I can only imagine that for the band members themself this must be a great feeling, something not so everyday normal. But what I do know is that for us, the listeners, this is great and also something not so everyday normal, and this is the reason why you should go and listen to these guys if you have the opportunity.
