Petra Vlková and Sonic Playground
U Staré paní (The Old Lady) last night, Petra Vlková and Sonic Playground, a new name to an old recipe, fortunately only the name has changed, the ingredients still holds the same high quality with Petra Vlková (voc), Mikuláš Pokorný (p) & Libor Šmoldas (g),
It’s been awhile since I saw this extraordinary trio perform, and it wasn’t until last night that I realized that I actually missed them. Why? It’s obvious, I like to go to a concert and feel good, both during and after the set. I’m also a very simple man with a simple taste. I like music but only good music, I’m sort of restricted in that way. With the enthusiasm the Playground has among each other when performing and with the skills, the warmth they possess, it’s bound to catch on with the audience and once again you know why you got out of bed this morning. Yesterday made no exception, it was easy to tell from the rest of the audience, whom every once and a while gave them very loud ovations (specially Mikuláš who seem to have got an own fan club, with mostly young representatives of the opposite sex. 😉 ) but as you can guess, everything very well deserved. Even though it’s only November, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to try and see Petra Vlková and Sonic Playground a little more often, why?, because I like good music! 🙂
