Adam Tvrdý Trio @ Jazz Dock 28.1.2026
The definition of the saying “no need to cross the river to get water” was made clear yesterday when Adam Tvrdý Trio, Adam Tvrdý – g; Jiří Stivín Jr. – dr; Petr Dvorský – b. took the stage at Jazz Dock. This must have been something of the best the republic has to offer when it comes to blues music, actually it must have been something of the best the republic has to offer when it comes to jazz music, and then again, it must have been something of the best the republic has to offer when it comes to rock music, come to think of it, it must have been something of the best the republic has to offer when it comes to….. you name it. But let’s just call it for what it really was, some extraordinarily good music, spiced with some absolutely electrifying solos, performed in turns by all three members of the band, solos that took your breath away and yet, this was a band, a team that have found THE chemistry of togetherness when they enter the world of music. The soundless communication, the respect for eachother but most of all the joy that shines true in their act is admirable.
I admit, quilty as charged, this was of course no surprise to me, there was a reason why I was at the club yesterday, it’s just that some concerts get to you more than others, even when there’s the same band on stage. Try and guess how I felt about last night!
Into music? Don’t miss the Adam Tvrdý Trio if you have the opportunity to see them live. They are a fantastic blend of blues, jazz, and rock, or, or… What an evening, what energy! Thank you Adam Tvrdý Trio
