Atelier 57 presents Yuriy Seredin Quartet

The culmination of Independence Day

And again! Atelier 57, that’s the best jazz club in Prague, the one in Beroun, stayed faithful to their chosen direction and offered us a very high classed music experience to end the Czech national day (Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day.). Under the name Yuriy Seredin Quartet, Yuriy Seredin (p), Luboš Soukup (sax), Elam Friedlander (b), Jesse Simpson (dr) with guest Jan Hejduk (sax), we were offered a musical journey that included admirably much Yuriyes own compositions. Skillefulled tunes that crossover several genres in a very enjoyable way. The multi national band for the evening, whom some had never played together before, was of course the main reason for this more than pleasurable occurrence. It never stops amazing me how completely unknown individuals can find each other through music, and with the help of their instrument offer us, the audience, such memorable moments like last night. I guess that’s why they are called professionals 🙂  Thank you  Yuriy Seredin Quartet!

What goes for the arrangements at Atelier 57, whom also stayed faithful to their chosen direction. All the way from the snacks made by Bára, to the very special warm feeling that these events offer. It also amazes me that not more people have found their way to these ones in a month’s musical sessions, because this is something rare and unique that is happening in Prague’s best jazz club, the one in Beroun. 🙂 Because I have no doubt that when more people start finding Atelier 57 you gonna need a reservation to get in, a reservation made in good time. Thank you also Jesse and Bára for offering us this experience. Next and last concert for this year is due to 15.12, more about that later.
