Adam Tvrdý’s Birthday Concert @ Jazz Dock |15.5.2026
Adam hit the halfway mark about a week ago, and last night we celebrated it in a way that truly honors one of the best guitarists in the country. A packed Jazz Dock was treated to a concert that lasted almost three hours, featuring unforgettable musical performances. It also confirmed that Jazz Dock is a remarkably solid building—the roof was somehow still in place when I left, which feels like a small miracle given how intense and skillful the music was!
Adam started the night with his own group, the Adam Tvrdý Trio (Adam Tvrdý – guitar; Jiří Stivín Jr. – drums; Petr Dvorský – bass). Their set alone would have made for a great evening, but they were joined throughout the night by special guests: Petra Ernyeiová (voc), Tereza Jurová (voc), and Luboš Soukup (sax). They all brought their absolute best for the man of the hour, but in the end, this was undoubtedly Adam’s show.
I originally wasn’t going to write anything and just let my pictures do the talking. However, it’s impossible to stay silent when you leave a venue feeling like you were the one handed a gift. For example, I don’t recall ever hearing a better version of “Tequila”—and I wasn’t alone. It was during that tune that I seriously started to doubt the structural integrity of the club! Through it all, Adam stood at the center with his guitars, working absolute magic.
Happy Birthday, Adam, and thank you.

I’ll definitely be back when you join the Century Club, but of course, many times before that. You are worth it!
