Prague live music: What a party—and we are only halfway there!

When you connect three absolute gentlemen of the scene—Libor Šmoldas (guitar), Jakub Zomer (Hammond B3 organ), and Daniel Šoltis (drums)—you get a powerhouse compound known to the world as the Libor Šmoldas Organ Trio. Last night, they kicked off their monumental 10th-anniversary celebration at a completely sold-out Jazz Dock, and wow… what a spectacular triumph! Delivering a high-octane, two-hour-plus show packed with a brilliant mixture of older classics and fiery new material, they made it crystal clear why this combo has belonged to the absolute elite of Czech music for over a decade. Trust me when I say they are guaranteed to remain at the top for at least ten more. Last night’s opening celebration was that brilliant—and best of all, the tapes were rolling to record every single note!

 

The energy in the room was completely off the charts. The crowd unleashed such thunderous, roaring ovations after the solos that you literally couldn’t hear what Libor was saying into the microphone between songs!

 

I say this was just the start because last night was only Part 1 of 2. The second half of this historic celebration takes place at the exact same establishment tonight (Wednesday, August 19th), with the music kicking off at 21:00. I checked the reservation system right before sitting down to write this, and there are still a handful of standing tickets available. If you want to witness three absolute virtuosos handing you flawless cooperation, jaw-dropping solos, pure joy, and endless laughter—the kind of legendary gig you will tell your grandchildren about—I highly suggest you hurry up and secure your tickets right now.
