Libor Šmoldas Organ Trio Live Album Recording (Night 2) @ Jazz Dock | 19.8.2026
Filling up Jazz Dock for two consecutive nights means you are truly something special and you have something rare to offer. Libor Šmoldas (guitar), Jakub Zomer (Hammond B3 organ), and Daniel Šoltis (drums)—collectively known as the Libor Šmoldas Organ Trio—unquestionably possess both. Very few trios, whether domestic or from across the border, can completely rock Jazz Dock in such a magnificent, jazzy way as these three gentlemen have done over the last 48 hours to celebrate their grand 10th anniversary.
To make things easy, if you missed my breakdown of the opening night’s chaos, you can read all about it right HERE to get a small understanding of what Prague was just gifted. Night number two didn’t change the formula much, though it felt a tiny bit better. With the pressure of the first recording session out of the way, the trio knew they could command a packed house entirely on their own terms. It was full speed from the very first note, flying high without any kind of safety net. I am so incredibly pleased with myself that I had the good sense to secure a front-row spot for both concerts! When I sit down to summarize the absolute best musical happenings of the year this coming December, these two historic gigs are going to find themselves sitting very high up on the list.
And now, what comes next? Now we begin the painful wait for the official audio summary of these two magical nights. While the upcoming live album has no official release date yet, everyone who packed into Jazz Dock this week knows it is going to be something deeply worth waiting for.
A massive thank you to Libor Šmoldas, Jakub Zomer, and Daniel Šoltis for an unforgettable residency! 🙏 🙏 🙏 😀 😀 😀
